IR1024iF scannig

Dear all,

If I want to use this IR 1024iF as a scanner, scangear must setup in the pc to comunicate to the copier, but I didn't found the scangear in the website of canon usa or canon europe, can you tell me where can I find this or the way to use this machine as a scanner.

Hi,

For scan via USB, you will need this:

imageRUNNER1024 iR Drivers (32bit)

This link consist of drivers for Fax / UFR printer drivers / Scangear driver

Toolbox Ver.4.9.1.1.ir03 for Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7 (32bit&64bit)

This link will be software for Scanning as PDF / Tiff / Jpeg

Ifyou are looking for OS like Win8 64bit, this link is the top layer of the above 2 links:

I have installed the scangear ver 2.21, after removed all the versions, but when I am trying to discover the scanner or put manual IP, nothing happened.
but when installed vai usb, it worked correctly.
any idea about this problem.

Dear Canon!
Please help me! I have an Ir1024IF multifunctional machine. I can correctly print my documents. Installed all the suitable drivers (all in all), but I can not SCAN! (via USB)
Installed files: the drivers for Win 7 32 bit (it is containing the scanner funcions, am i right??) + image runner + toolbox!
I get this: "A supported scanner is not installed. Please install a supported scanner and then restart toolbox"
No reaction to press the scan button on the printer

well this equipment supports 2 types of scanning possibilities with it.
1- the so called "pull scan" in which it's the PC that does all the work with the toolbox and only works with USB connection.
2- the so called "push scan" in which the Image runner does all the work and sends through the network only using SMB or similar protocols (needs network configured and access data prior to the use)
have you checked in your systems device manager if the machine shows correctly installed as an imaging device?
Canon Asia as a all in one driver for those models with UFRII, PCL's, PS, Fax and Scanner then you only need the Toolbox software, always had problem's with the european drivers and the asian worked like a charm every time
