ir adv c5200 series usb print/scan

COPIER>OPTION>DSPLY-SW level 2 is at 1. Sees the stick entered. Print button will not illuminate.

add functions > preferences, display, store location display > set memory media is on
add functions > preferences, external interface > USB settings > Use USB device is on and both meap settings are off
add functions > Function pg2 > store/access files > advance box settings > prohibit writing from external is off

What am I missing here? I can see the files just cannot select them. thanks guys

Nevermind went into the sales guide and you need a direct print kit to print pdf's. Problem solved. 650 retail for the kit.

are u using the USB Cherry Keyboard ? if so
set Meap Driver for Input Device], set to [ON].

u have all the correct settings
        except below

        Check this setting below

SETTINGS/REGISTRATION > FUNCTION SETTINGS (PG 2) >STORE/ACCESS FILES > ADVANCE BOX SETTINGS > PROHIBIT WRITING FROM EXTERNAL and set it to OFF ( it is ON by default )

will take effect after the main power is turned off and on.

Naw just trying to print pdf's from usb stick. We kinda told two clients that it can be done and am doing damage control to save my ass lol. I can print jpg and tiff no problem. PDF needs the direct print kit and addon memory. You can however write pdf's to USB.

That was turned on too teck. We now know what we did wrong. Feeling pretty dumb because of that I'm usually pretty snappy at remembering that stuff. Comes with getting old eh :-)

All good buddy. I had vaguely remembered something about formats from training and as soon as I pulled out the sales guide it had it there. Quite pricey to be able to print just a pdf from a usb stick imho. You'd figure it would be default on all the advance series but oh well. Can only do with what we are given.
