    Control Panel

On my Canon IR 5000. First time with this problem. I believe my LCD screen is going out. The screen turned green blank. I was using the machine in the printing mode and didn't see the black screen until I was changing paper. When I turned the machine off for a few minutes, the screen came back but was flickering and going bright and dull. Do I need the complete control panel or just a new screen?

If you got a good spare, save yourself the time and trouble.

Flickering screen/ bright>dull> sounds like a power issue

Check for 120vac into the DC power supply, then check 5 and 24vdc output, if missing replace the power supply.

Check for 5vdc on the Main Controller pcb at connector J1058, pin 1 and pin 2 both should have 5vdc on them with respect to ground. If 5vdc is missing or is incorrect, check J4016 at the DC Power Supply for proper connection and proper voltage. If J4016 connection is good but voltage is bad, try replacing the DC Power Supply.
