    iRA9060 Quality issue

    Hi,

we have recently installed new canon iRA9060 in our region and its printed only 29K impressions. Intermittently we have color mis- registration issue like if we print 300 pages in ivory heavy media 300gsm in between 3 or 4 sheets mis - registered and the rest are coming fine.

And aslo i have one more issue when i use matt 135gsm to print a particular job selected the media settings in CWS as Heavy 1 ,but the output quality is totally changed. But when i use the media type as Plain 2 and used the paper 135gsm matt checked the quality is ok.

i have done the activities for both problems , but problem still persisting.
    1. latest firmware upgraded.
2.Auto gradation , shading correction and RIP calibration done using I1 Pro Tool.
    3.Auto color mismatch done.
4.DC -CON,MC-CON cleared and reset the value.

if anybody knows how resolve this issue ,pls help us...

    regards,
    Ramanan K

Make Changes to Custom Papers in the Media Library

To make more adjustments display in the media library, enable the screens in Service Mode, level 1 COPIER> OPTION > DSPLY-SW> IMGC-ADJ>1.
When the service mode setting is at 0, you will only be able to adjust the paper weight, finish type, color, creep and curl corrections.
Changing the value to 1 will allow all of the above adjustments plus separation fan level, secondary transfer voltages, gloss and tail end white patch level.

First a custom paper must be created, because you can only make changes to custom paper types.
To create a custom paper, duplicate a standard paper first.
To create a custom paper, select Settings and Registration> Preferences> Paper Settings> Paper Type Management. Select the type of paper you duplicated and name the paper anything that is not a standard paper name.
To make changes to a custom paper; select Settings and Registration> Preferences> Paper Settings> Paper Type Management. Select the custom paper you want to adjust, then select Edit / Details and adjust accordingly

      Hi Ramana,
I very understand your situation due to I also have a long time to serve iRAC9065PRO
Frankly, that series is not suitable with printing production. Although it is under light production segment
The quality of printout is not stable, especially if you usually print on thick paper
To keep machine acceptable level , you should divide print job into small batch to machine do calibration properly
For your case, I think should double check ITB unit, try a new one, it has been modified something inside,
Remember run ITB-INIT in service mode and color mismatch in user mode when you disassemble/assemble ITB unit
      Good luck to you

          Hi ,

Thanks to all for your suggestions.
          Below is my findings.

          Quality issue:
we checked the same job's in another 9070 machine in field which has Image reader unit..result is good quality. Just we came to know that this printer we installed as printer model only ( no Image reader unit). For Engine Auto gradation we are doing automatic in this printer Model.
But in other printer we are manually doing Auto Gradation for different media using image reader unit.

Does it make any difference in print quality for thick media's.Apart from image reader unit is there any external flatbed scanner option to do auto Gradation for this printer Model 9060?

          Color Mis-regisration:
we have done Auto color mismatch and ITB -init also.
checked the ITB unit has modified one. But still problem Persisting.
