ImageRUNNER 2220i - Scan to Desktop?

    ImageRUNNER 2220i - Scan to Desktop?

    We've recently changed our email system to one which requires SMTP authentication, and I don't think the 2220i supports that, so our long-used process of scanning to email seems no longer viable. Will the 2220i scan directly to folders on individual client machines? In a perfect world, I'd be able to set up and address book (just like the existing one that has employees email addresses) with individual shared folders instead of email addresses.

    Does anyone know how I might accomplish this, or have other suggestions to solve this problem?

      Yes you can scan to a share folder and to each individual client.

      SMB:

      Under additional functions/ address book settings/ register/ file/ browse

          Thanks very much. When I try this, I can only get as far as "address book settings." After that, my only options appear to be "Store/Edit address book," "Store address book name" and "One touch buttons." I don't see a "Register" option.

          Any ideas?
