    [Electrical] canon ir8070 control panel LCD problem?

    hi, I have a problem with my conon ir 8070 control panel LCD. the touch screen works but it`s dark and I can`t see any thing. if someone knows the reason please send me an e-mail. thanks

      how do u know the touch screen works -when u cant see anything ??

      did u check the CONTRAST button-note: To make the touch panel display brighter, turn the dial counterclockwise. To make it darker, turn the dial clockwise.

          when i touch the touch screen i hear it`s beep sound and also i tried the CONTRAST button too and it didn`t work.

              When the main power switch is turned on only the Green LED on the control panel will light up. The LCD screen will be blank but 8070 will go through initial rotation and fuser will warm up.

              is all that true ?????
              check if the fan located on the cage that houses the MN-CON PCB fan is operating.

              The non-operation of that fan on the MN-CON PCB indicates that the MN-CON PCB did not initialize and that hardware failure is located on a component within the MN-CON cage assembly.
              u may need to replace Boot Rom PCB if this is the case-

              IR7270N/85+ TYPE /swap between these models if u can/
