Problem with image runner 6055

We have bought this printer,without the scanner unit.We use this machine to print only.To the location that scanner would placed,its a simple cover.From the first month the print jobs appears to have black lines.Every 25000 prints technicians clean the unit called korona.When they clean this unit it print clear,after the next 25000 prints,it needs again clean....The truth is that the the printer is in a call center with 40 people,25 of then smoking..My question is,maybe this problem caused by the missing of scanner unit,the dirt easily reached to corona place...

Sorry, but no. The scanner will not reduce the problem.

The corona is a high-voltage unit, and will attract the particles in the air due to smoke.

Here in Denmark, offices are all smoke free these days and we don't see this kind of problem any more.

Here smoking in the office is not allowed anymore. Still we need to clean/replace those corrona;s much to often. Piece of shit, Advanced my ass. Beter find an older refurbished 5570, much beter, it's corrona wil last for 1M at least.

next time tell him to replace the corona wires and unscrew the primary filter and clean all thhe lint out of it

l bet the area has carpet.
they seem to suck up more junk on carpet,
