    IRC3200 Color Registration

Belt has only about 10k. 2nd transfer roller and blade new. When doing a gradation. colors except black are offset to the left by as much as 5mm.A week ago I removed belt and cleaned the rubber rollers and it went away for a day. Maybe I need to replace belt but when I try to do each color laser adj in level 2 it will not perform adjustment. Display flashes active and will not not finish. I have to turn machine off to clear. Anybody have any thoughts?

one note> belt drift can also be cause by the guide rails u slide the ITB is slide into(they crack)

u describe offset to the Left /I assume that as MAIN SCAN (front of printer to back) or TOP>to BOTTOM
in Main Scanning Direction The Black pattern is used as the reference
      MAIN SCAN.JPG
      LASER CAM ADJ.jpg

I would pull out all the LASERS and manually cam them to home position

SUB-SCAN is (lead edge to trail edge) as in paper feed direction-Canon calls this >right to left
in Sub Scanning Direction The Yellow pattern is used as the reference.

Displacement is in sub scanBlack looks normal during an auto gradation. Yellow is way off and cyan and mag are slightly off. Gonna get back there this week and try lasers. Will repost.

Try removing the belt cleaning blade, and see if misregistration occurs. Sometimes the blade will cause too much friction.

                  Re: IRC3200 Color Registration

try removing the itb unit and reinstalling it, when you reinstall ITB unit, lower the pattern reader down first before you turn the intermediate transfer unit release lever. (color missregistration may occur if pattern reader is not seated down correctly.)

repeat this 3 times if needed.

It's fixed. One of the sponge transfer rollers inside ITB unit was popped out of its holder on one side. As soon as I popped it back in registration came right back. Thanks for all the replies!
