canon language problem

i have an Canon ir2800 Printer with schwedish Language and need to turn it to a french or at least a english version.
Can anybody send me the corresponding Firmware version with the needed SST and a brief description?

Press: * Additional Function key
Press: Common Settings
Press: The up/down arrows until (Language Switch) appears.
Press: Language Switch
Press: On
Press: Arrow keys up/down to display desired Language
Press: Done

Note: If the improper Language still comes up turn the machine off and back on.



or u may need to use SST with 2800 firmware loaded to change Language FILES

Be systematic in your 'fault diagnosis'. You have asked for help on how to switch the language from Swedish to English, and teckat has replied well guiding you on how this can be done. Why don't you first try the teckat method, see if it works and post back the result of your finding on the forum? then further help will follow; or are you merely interested in having the sst/firmware. First thing first...

Service mode...Copier-Option-Body-Config....pick the correct country,language,destination(market) and paper config(Inch or Metric). Reboot

I really have trouble loading the French or English language in my copier. Can somebody guide me in describing the procedure to follow.I use SSTv173

Use it to select any of the multiple pieces of firmware stored on the hard disk to suit the selected destination and paper size:
Settings: XXYYZZAA
examples below------------

XX: country (JP), YY: language (ja), ZZ (00): destination, AA (00): paper configuration

The method of indication COPIER>DISPLAY>USER>LANGUAGE

The selections in parentheses are (example default selections); for the country and the
languages, names are given.

Using the Mode
1) Select <CONFIG>.
2) Select the item to change (to highlight), and press the +/- key.
3) Each press on the +/- key move the selection to the next item.
4) When the desired item is indicated, press the OK key.
5) Turn off and then on the main power switch.

Where,
xx (higher 2 characters): country code (See JIS.)

zz: destination code (00: Canon, 01: OEM,02: common (all))
aa: paper size configuration code (00: AB, 01:Inch, 02: A, 03: all sizes)
