ir 1024i change papersize drawer 1:a4

    Hi,

I have a problem with a canon ir 1024i, sometimes while it is printing or copying it stops and in the display appears this message: " change paper size drawer 1:a4" if you get out and get in the a4 cassette, it continues printing.

(there is no jam sign only the display message)

anyone Knows what is the problem ?

I hope to hear from you soon.

    all the best

Replace pickup, feed and sep rolls. Paper size is determined by length of time on reg sensor. Thats why you register paper size in user mode. No size detection for cassette. The diameter of the rolls gets too small and paper speed is too slow. When it exceeds timing window it will start declaring jams. Seen this many times. Usually starts around 200k on machine

Replace the registration clutch (FK2-1401-000) and sensor SR11 (WG8-5776-000) at the same time
