Off to take a look at yet another error code on this machine;

E022 -5001

According to the SM its the laser shutter not opening / closing correctly

Will let you all know, so we can add it to the KB, in the meantime anyone seen this on the 2020i, I have to admit I dont like the design of these machines.....

Followed the SM to correct this issue, reset the error code, all sorted, nice one...

Theres always a but, this is the 10th fuser I have had to replace, not due to anything but the fuser film disintegrating...

Has there been an improvement, or superseded part?

Everyone I talk to assures me the fuser on these models are a consumable item, does anyone else just replace the fuser film?

IRA 2020 series fuser updated part, about time, fuser film looks a lot more useable;

What media types is you custmer using? How many prints do your fixing assemblies last (theoritically, they're guiven for 150k prints with A4 ordinary paper).

Hello

Using OEM parts, no more than 120gsm paper, I have not seen a fuser go past 100k, averaging 50 - 75k maximum.

Will keep the forum updated on the revised fuser

Hello,

We do change fixing assemblies, but there is no special feedback in our technician team. I will pay an attention to this case.
