iR 2525 Prepare the Toner

Hi,

Prepare the toner message does not go away after replacing the toner.
Checked the toner hopper, bias spring, did a TNRINST without success.
Before trying a DCON clear and firmware update thought to ask if anyone has had this message before or has any ideas.

Title : The machine displays a "prepare toner" message

Problem : The machine constantly displayed a message saying "Prepare Toner". The machine was being setup for a new install. The machine had a new toner bottle installed. Solution : Replace the engine controller. The part numbers for the engine controllers are shown below: iR2545/2535 FM4-2863-000 iR2530/2525/2520 550 Sheet Cassette 1 model FM4-2864-000 iR2530/2525/2520 250 Sheet Cassette 1 model FM4-2865-000

Print the service data list in the service mode.
REPORT > REPORT OUTPUT > SERVICE DATA LIST

Action to Take after Replacement/RAM Clearing
1) Clear the DC controller settings and counters.
Enter the service mode, and Then select the following:
CLEAR > ENGINE > ENGINE BKRAMCLK (Clearing of the RAM on the DC controller PCB)
2) Turn OFF and then ON the main power switch. (Turning OFF/ON the main power switch
clears the RAM.)
3) If uploading of backup data fails before replacement due to the damage to the DC controller PCB, enter the values of service mode items recorded on the service label.
Since the values recorded on the service label may be outdated, check the service mode item list (#SERVICE DATA LIST) printed out in advance, and then enter the latest values.
4) Turn OFF and then ON the main power switch. (Turning OFF/ON the main power switch allows the values entered for the service mode items to take effect.)

good I get the message that my is similar. first appeared to me to prepare toner. Then clean the OPC drum and ensenderla me this error appeared. Follow label instructions inside the toner access cover to change toner. I mean I do not recognize the toner and tried with several tornes and I get the same error. that might be?

"PREPARE" message means that toner is not needed right now / u wait until message says "REPLACE"


if message does not go away> u could have a bad engine controller.

The part numbers for the engine controllers are shown below:

iR2530/2525/2520 = 250 Sheet Cassette 1 model FM4-2865-000

The gears engaged to the toner motor were worn out enough to drop a little bit of toner into the dev unit but not enough.
