    --------------
Check the Bias Contacts on the ITB and on the frame of the imageRUNNER C1022.
Check that the connection is correct.

Check the Bias Springs and make sure that they are seated correctly.

re-load or upgrade firmware to v64.01.01

The software used to flash this model is called the User Support Tool.
The Service Support Tool is not used in flashing this model imageRUNNER.

Make sure to extract the file, the default folder location is C:\Canon File Folder\SST System Software Folder\SST Files.

Launch the .exe and it will show you the following:

            Choose Next >

Make sure the C1022 is in Download Mode and connected via USB or network cable. See Related Article 72178 on How to Enter Download Mode.

            Then click Next >

You can specify the machine by printer name or IP address. Then click Next > .

Start when ready. The firmware will be downloaded to machine. C1022 will show Updating Firmware Do not reboot.

            Once you see the message:
            Firmware is complete.
            The device will restart automatically.

Press OK and the C1022 will reboot.

Exactly as this learned gentleman said.

Will be a dirty laser. I just replace it as even after doing it a few times, it still takes me >2hrs or so.
