Configure iR C4580i to use Cox Business SMTP Send to email

I am trying to configure a Canon imagerunner C4580 to use external Cox Business email account/server for my Send to email function.
As soon as I add address and select "start"; system goes to "resending" and then prints out error
I have contacted Cox support a couple of times and they have not been able to help
Any suggestions?
