    Hi, all
I could not make "scan to email" to work and got report showing end code is #801. I m using ISP sending and receiving email and get DNS server address and domain name by DHCP then changed to static IP. I aslo entered SMTP server Address same as my outlook setting. I dont know which setting I need to put to make it work? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks a lot! Another question is during the setup for "scan to email", do i need any usename or account name and password?

you basically need to configure an email account for the machine-so figure that it is an email client -say like outlook but your only concern is outgoing-for outgoing you will need to most proably authenticate with server, for this you will need username and password(ie an account set up for you-we send out pre-survey forms with all of this on).

easiet thing to do is to genrate say a gmail account set that up on your laptop and on the machine-if you can 'piggyback' your laptop on the clients network by using alternate network setting AND send mail you know that you will be able to use the same configuartion on your machine-I have been on site for ages trying to configure accounts that dont work/arent live/made up by the client on the spot.and this is the surest failsafe because if you cant get this to send mail -nothing will.

and a post note this will normanlly breach any standard it security policy but if you demonstrate it working then you can do the handover to the it to take over
