IR 6000 Image out of registar:

Copies are out of register regardless of which paper bin I use or whether I feed paper or card stock.
No matter if I shoot off the glass or print direct from my computer.
Image shifts toward the right by 5/16" every 4 or 5 sheets. It's never consistant. If I copy 10 of one original sheets 4 and 6 may be out of register. Next time it might be sheets 5 and 9.
Funny thing is, If I hit One copy at a time it'll be in register Every time for 100 sheets or more but I need to run some 3 part NCR forms an that'll take hours. I checked the teeth on the gears at the stepping motor and they all look fine. I think the image is shifting at the fuser some how.
Any suggestions on what to look for on this problem?
    Thank you for your attention.
