[Error Code] Configure iR C4580i to use Cox Business SMTP Send to email

Configure iR C4580i to use Cox Business SMTP Send to email
I am trying to configure a Canon imagerunner C4580 to use external Cox Business email SMTP account/server for my Send to email function.
As soon as I add address and select "start"; system goes to "resending" and then prints out error
I have contacted Cox support a couple of times and they have not been able to help
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Scan me your network settings sheet please. I got a buddy on cox I'll double check settings with him when I get your network settings sheet. Make sure ip address, subnet mask, def gw, dns servers are all ok. Then you just need to worry about the email. when it prints a tx failed report is there a three digit number on it?

Don't use ip's for the mail server. If they use load balancing or anything like that it will fail. Set your smtp server for smtp.cox.net or smtp.coxmail.com (unable to find definitive and I don't know where you're located) and make sure you have smtp authentication set as a valid user/pass. If that still fails the machine will print out a tx fail report with a #xxx error code. It should work though but if it doesn't let me know. I'd also reccomend against leaving pop disabled unless you're doing forwarding on the machine itself.
