Ir2380 can print but cant browse to set up Isend

Hi All. I'm trying to set up this machine to scan to file but it cant find a path, it replies back with a no response message. I can print to it and have tried on our network and a dedicated laptop. My suspicions are that there is a setting in service mode stopping this. Any help would be appreciated.

The Network Scan function enables you to use the machine as a conventional scanner.
You can scan a document using the machine, and read the data in an
application you are using on your computer.
To use this function, the machine is required to be connected to a network, and the Color Network ScanGear software*installed at your computer.

To use the optional Network Scan function, the machine must be connected to a network, and must be separately switched "Online" to the network.
This section explains how to switch the machine online and offline to use the Network Scan function.

Auto Online
If Auto Online is set to 'On', the machine automatically goes online when you press [Scan] on the Basic Features screen.
1 -Press (Additional Functions)[System Settings] [Auto Online/Offline] [Auto Online].
2 -Select [On] or [Off] press [OK].


Auto Offline
If the machine is connected to a network that is online, scanning is not possible with the Copy or Mail Box function. By setting Auto Offline to 'On', the machine automatically goes offline when the Auto Clear mode initiates.

1 Press (Additional Functions) [System Settings][Auto Online/Offline][Auto Offline].
2 Select [On] or [Off] press [OK].
NOTE
If Auto Offline is set to 'On', the machine automatically goes offline once the Auto Clear mode initiates.
If the Auto Clear mode is not set (the Auto Clear Time is set to '0'), the machine automatically goes offline after approximately two minutes. (

teckat is that to use "pull scanning" though?

I think the OP is trying to use the iSend function.

Are all settings okay on the laptop? Control panel > Network Settings > Make sure everything is allowed to connect.

If it doesnt work by SMB browsing then have you tried putting the IP of the laptop in the machine? Creating and sharing out a folder called "scans" directly in the C: drive too?

I suspect that your machine is installed in a Domaine network. If it's the case, introduce the domaine name in your machine.
