Hi everybody, the machime error code indicates, No black color on test 10.

items to look at

1- Check if the black toner bottle is seated correctly in position > if not it will result in the error code.
Removing the black toner bottle and manually opening and closing the end cap along with re-seating the bottle may resolve the code.

2-The gear stripes out do to friction in the developer assembly. Replacing the gear may not resolve the problem. Open the developer and check for toner clumping and for a stuck auger. Rotate the auger by hand with the cover open and see if the toner moves freely.

Solution :
It has been found that the D cut portion of the drive gear can strip out and not allow drive to the developer. The drive gear is a X shaped gear.



The gear part number is FC8-4338-000.
