    iR2520 network card issue

    Hi All

    Please can someone perhaps shed some light on an isssue i have with an iR2520? This machine will not print , ping only copy. Before replacing the main controller I wanted to know if there is anyway I can reset the network card via service mode?

    Regards

    To verify you can ping the IP address on your LAN / network?

    First port of call, check the driver, UFR / PCL / PS - make sure its not set to work offline in the printer properties

    Come back let us all know

      Have you installed the right driver (UFRII). PCL driver is optional.

          Man, were do you start;

          Does your network use TCP/IP?

          Have you configured a valid static ip address on the copier that will at least work on your local subnet?

          Is it plugged into a live network point, is there an activity LED on the switch / hub / router were it terminated?

          I would try these very basic things first to ensure connectivity, when you can ping it - then we will talk about UFR drivers

          Best of luck

            Just to add onto Vamoursly's train of thought, when you plug the copier into the router does it show connectivity? Usually a little green light on the router. Usually a dead board won't get past this test.
