    ir 4570/3045/3245

    hi to all,

i would like to ask for your comments/opinions about the performance of canon ir 4570, 3045 and 3245. don't know much about these models. what i know is that ir4570 was released in 2004, ir3045 - 2006 and ir3245 - 2008. which of these 3 models is better and has less issues/maintenance (any issue/s?) and is considered durable?

    hope you can help.

    thank you and regards.

    Hi

We have a few 32XX, the machines are good runners, the fixing film does almost double it's life, the dev unit runs double life and more (due to being mono).
The drum, you dont get much past life, but they can be fitted by customer etc so saves a return if you can post them.
Weakes point is as with all Canon products, paper feed tyres not lasting, paper dust etc.

All in all good little machine!
    I think anyway!!!!!
I prefer it to the Ricoh Mp4000 any day of the week!!!

3045 got the good upgrades to the s1 finisher and good upgrades to the paper path like the right door lower and metal covers over the sensors. The 3245 series got a color scanner. Both series are better than the older 2270 but the 2270 is just as strong with the low cost upgrades installed and done. You need a good tech for those upgrades to finisher. Other than that they are the best in the world.

well i have some machines of all 3 models but 4570 in bigger numbers and i've done less work on the 4570 than the others, i got the 4570 as printers and fax on a daily copy center use and they need little maintenance good speed and good durable's, that's just my experience with them, on the 3045 and 3245 i've had to upgrade a couple of times and reset controllers

Same drum. They're all good models. I think they jam way too much even with updates and new rollers. Paper quality is too critical on the whole series. They should have stuck with the 2200 series.

As everyone seems tohave said go for the later 3225 series but ensure you only fit genuine Canonparts, especially the fixing films, they are all rubbish & only causeheadaches!
