[Misc] IRADVC5030 restarting on its own

I have IRADVC5030 restarting on its own about 3/4 way through the booting progress bar. It just continues recyling about 3/4 way all the time. Controller diagnosis done 2+4 result ok. Performed boot check but did not see anyflasshing of light on screen. I have placed an order for HDD anyway. What else is there to check on next visit. Thanks

remove & re-seat Main Controller PCB + both Memory DIMMs

also try--removing the Fax Kit, see if printer the boots up, if up then power off & re-connected the Fax kit

        What you're describing is a boot-loop.

See if you can load system software onto a USB stick using SST and then boot with 2+8. I had this happen once and I formatted the drive and reloaded the system software. The drive error'd out a few months later, so this may be a sign of what's to come.

If you can get into download mode okay then it's probably not a board issue.

Yes if the fax connector between fax and main controller isnt quite right it will cause reboots.

have got a couple of those before and IRC2880i with that problem, on some re-seating the main fixed it and one had to replace main2, one was the fax board damaged and got one with one of the Dimms damaged, they're a pain to figure out, when the main was damaged i couldn't get to service mode or download mode, on all others i could
