    Canon ir5570 "suspended" copying

the copier comes to ready and I put the copy on glass, hit print and the copier immediately says suspended I can't make a copy. The copier was moved and there was a paper jam behind the fuser unit blocking the connector but I removed it. The copier originally had an error for the fuser because of the paper blocking the fuser connector now all it does is scan the copy then it says suspended please help.

the first thing I wuld check is to make sure that you got all the paper out of both connectors.. and make sure no bent pins.. then check for 24 volts to the door interlocks.. other thing i found is a bad rush current pcb... you can unhook all options just to make sure there is nothing wrong with them..

      Canon ir5570

I checked and didn't find any paper or bent pins on the fuser connector. I checked the 24 volts to the door interlock and disconnected all the accessories and I still can't get a copy out of it. It seems as if the logic is scrambled.

Go into the counter menu and see if the machine is at version 2. You will see something like the machine model and V2 after it on the lower left part of the screen. If it is not at V2, you need to flash the machine to this version. This problem occurs when the customer changes the staple cartridge. It is a firmware glitch that has been corrected with the version 2 level of firmware. Seen this a million times.

mtech is correct. The quickest fix is to load staple cartridges properly,it will work again.
