copier came back from rental with user and password codes, cannot clear password and user code in service mode tried numerous times. is there another way of clearing code. customer forgot what code they used so that killed that thought. thanks for help....

try MF_CON clear. This should do it, reenter any door specs that might have changrd.

try this,
Go into sevice mode.
Copier>Function
<Clear>
cleaning Ram/Error code histories
Try
PWD-CLR
(it's use to clear the password set in user mode foe system Admin.
select the item to highlight and press the OK key
After that
Turn off equipment than on the main power.

I am having the same problem, but I can't find mf_con anywhere in service mode. please help

Function>Clear>MF-Con or PWD-CLR, (high-light, enter) switch main switch on and off. Should sort it.

You can go into function >clear>password . This will give you access to system manager settings. Then just turn off ID mode.
