    Was other Printer NETWORKED

May be caused the HDD from other printer must have NETWORK FIRMWARE + NETWORK BOOT ROM

1.Make sure the bootrom is indeed an "N" type bootrom. Go to, Service Mode>Copier>Version>Boot-Rom, check to see if "N" is displayed next to the version.

    2. Try clearing MMI, Service Mode>Copier>Function>Clear>MMI>OK; power cycle the machine, and then check the PS/PCL version in Service Mode. Clearing MMI will delete all mailboxes, IP Address, E-Mail setup, etc.. Be sure to print these items prior to performing MMI Clear.

3 If still not there, try to delete and re-register the System Software in SST

    4. Connect the Service Support Tool to the unit and Re-format the hard drive. Reload /or Overwrite the "N" version System Software followed by the RUI separately.

    5. If Service Mode>Copier>Version>PS/PCL still does not display the version, try another "N" type bootrom and test. If the version is displayed after replacing the bootrom, then the boot rom must be replaced.

If replacement HDD came from a working machine that was not networked.
U need to install firmware >select "Overwrite all" on the bottom left of the Service Support Tool.

Perform an MMI clear *28*>Copier>Function>Clear>MMI /

****Clearing MMI will delete all mailboxes, IP Address, E-Mail setup, etc..
Be sure to print these items prior to performing MMI Clear.
make sure u have printed your USER P PRINT if needed for settings

reboot the unit and test it by sending print jobs

I think Teckat is all over it.

Basically on these earlier machines, there are two different versions of system software. One for networked machines, one for non networked machines. What you load must match the bootrom in the machine and you need both a print bootrom and network system software on the machine in order for it to print or jobs will appear to go to the machine, but will never print out.

Sounds like your issues started when you swapped boot roms. Check the numbers on them. Sounds like they are different.
