Hi, I am new to this forum. My friend got a used ir2270 , When I tried to connect to network with DHCP on it never find any ip address and after that I tried giving ip address manually, it stores (I check after restarting machine) but it still says check the network connection. I read the forum and checked as per all and submitting the following information ...It has a boot rom 6.36_N, in ACC-STS memory 512 and PS/PCL 1, NETWARE - 1, PDL-FNC1 -1111 0000 0010 0000 , PDL-FNC2 - 0000 0000 0000 0000 , Additonal function -printers setting UFR II, ps/pcl are present. But when i check with 123 device configuration it never show me any ufrII,pcl, ps . but software option 1 - netware. Also on top COPY MAIL SCAN and an arrow button is there. From the cabinet of machine I found one PCL/PS driver CD and MULTI-PDL Printer Kit-E1 installation procedure (which shows this kit is installed). Please help me finding the problem. Thanks in advance

Re: Printer Problem
Hi to all,
I guess that your machine is not communicating with the rest of the network.
1- Ping the machine IP address to verify the physical connexion
2-Use another network cable.
3-Verify the pins of the network adapter connector
4- Replace the Main controller (as the network adapter is included in the main controller.)

Re: Printer Problem
A 'Check the Network Connection', 'Check the Network Settings', 'Check the Network Printer', or 'Check the TCP/IP Settings' Message Displays on the Copier LCD Screen
Getting a 'Check the Network Connection', 'Check the Network Settings', 'Check the Network Printer', or 'Check the TCP/IP Settings' message displayed in the message bar of the LCD display on the Canon device.
Workaround :
The most common and frequent cause or reason for these messages to appear are as follows:
1) The Canon device is not physically or properly connected to the network.
2) The Canon device and the customers network are not properly negotiating a valid network connection, speed and/or duplex.
3) Possible compatibility issue with customers hub / switch.
4) Bad Ethernet cable or network drop.
The following settings will have an influence of the messages being displayed on the screen of the device.
Check the Network Connection/Settings/Printer Message:
a. Make sure that that the Canon device is properly connected to the network and/or try a different network drop.
b. Reboot the Canon device.
if steps a and b above do not resolve the issue, you may then try configuring the device as follows:
Press Additional Functions> System Settings> Network Settings> Ethernet Driver Settings> Auto Detect> OFF. Reboot the Canon device. This stops the Canon device from trying to negotiate the Ethernet Settings for communicating with the network.
c. If the device is properly communicating on the network (able to open the RUI and print), and you are seeing this message erroneously on the imageRUNNER C2620/C3100/C3170/C3200/C3220/C5800/C6800/C5870/C6870 models only,
if step c above is true, then you may try configuring the device as follows:
In service mode (LEVEL 2) COPIER > OPTION > BODY > NWERR-SW. Configure the value of NWERR-SW from [1] to [0] and Reboot the copier.
- [1] Sets message to display.
- [0] Sets display off.
Check the TCP/IP Settings Message:
1. If the Canon device is plugged into the network, check for a possible duplicate IP address.
2. If the Canon device is not intended to be connected to the customers network, you may configure the device as follows:
press Additional Functions > System Settings > Network Settings > TCP/IP Settings > IP Address Settings and enter any dummy static IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway. Be sure to disable DHCP, BOOTP, and RARP.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment
