[Jamming] IR 3045 Jammimg in tray 1 only

I have a canon IR 3045 that has been having jammimg issues particularly in the mornings when the first copy is made. I went there several times and could never duplicate the issue until yesterday. After replacing all three tires in all 4 trays & cleaning the machine I tested it and it runs perfectly out of every tray except tray 1. It doesnt matter what size I change the paper to it still jams in that first tray 95% of the time. I tried every variation with the tray and had no success and unfortunately since that tray is shaped differently than the other trays I cant interchange it. Sometimes is jams before it even hits the fuser and other times it does an accordion jam in the fuser. Its very sporadic and just about the time you think you have it figured out it starts jammimg again. Pressure applied to the door makes no difference. And I dont think its the sensors since the 3 other trays work perfectly no matter what size I set them to.
Thank in advance for any help you can offer.

Tray 1 is notorious for jamming check the torque limiter. I have had to replaced many paper feed units on this line.

Have you modified the lower right side door? apply pressure on the lower door (1st door under main duplex door) and see if it makes copies

On your lower right door, the one below the big one that opens the process unit. Is there foam on the edging or a metal bracket? If it's foam you'll want to order the mod kit for the door. It applied uneven pressure and will cause a tonne of jams. You'll also want to replace the foam on the post fixing delivery flapper as those will stick like mad and cause morning sickness jams as well.

Thanks for the help guys! It seems the problem was the pressure on the lower right door, there is foam there. I have been trying to find the mod kit that was mentioned but am having no luck. Does anyone have the part number by chance or the tech pub number?
          Thanks

I just realized that I can just order the entire door ass...thought there was a kit to modify the current door.

There's an inner piece that needs to be changed as well. Please see attached PDF for explanation and parts. There's 6 that have to be ordered and changed in unison. Now that you know what to look out for, other than e007 fixing film tearing, You've got a good grasp on these machines. They're fairly straightforward other than that stupid door issue.
