    hole punch is skewed

We have an ir 8070 that is just driving us nuts. The hole punch is skewed.
We have changed out finisher, fix frame assy and all new parts, duplex assy, and now we are going to try the fix feeder assy rails although they look good. Yeah should have done that sooner, but they looked good an straight to me, but who knows. Oh and new hole punch just for kicks. we have the finisher shimmed to accommodate, but somehow I think it is not where i am looking. I have even thought about timing etc. to the hole punch, rollers stopping and starting and still feeding at wrong times and all that. Maybe its more simpler. I even gave thought to the drive behind the copier. have you had this problem before?

nice, thanks for the posts. Let me check out the rubber thing. springs and deflector are ok since i swapped fix feeder frame assy to diagnose. I haven't looked in the parts diagram yet, will tomorrow, so is the rubber goodie on the fix feeder frame or machine? by the way ,Thanks for the replies!
The finisher post was nice too, but wrong finisher. The skew happens before it reaches those areas, but i like the info.
another tech just installed new rails today, but i took the day off so will know if that helped or not until i return to work.
ok i looked on the parts list and the part number you gave is the fix frame assy. do you have the tech pub number?
