Hi, Can someone shed some light on black drum installation for the first time for the black unit. on page 1-21 the manual on points to note indicate ITB needs to be disengaged.On page 2-41 , I must open dustproof shutter before I pull out drum unit. And the patch sensor that has to be cleaned at 50k, is that the reg patch sensor fk2-7316 or un44 and un43? On page 4-53 removing the drum unit indicates open front door and remove. A few questions in there

Ref drum, no you dont need to remove the ITB, but you do need to put it into changing mode, done through the control panel / adjustment, if the option is not there has to be added via SM, if you are really stuck, turn the machine off and change the drum, power it back on;

there is a thread here by tekcat regarding adding options from SM

Drum slides out, drum goes in, auto grad, happy days

Ref the shutter doors, you open these to clean the laser glass with the tool in the front of the door, fiddly an difficult job first time round..

Worked out very well, the directions with the drum was missing the info after maintenance,the itb/drum cartridge, so I did it thru the service mode, moving the belt away from the drum.In the manual I read it as press the start key(black light grayscale came out) not the ok key on the display. good too know turning copier off would also back-off drum from belt, Great video. Thanks for your expertise and time.
