    Firmware update

    Hi all,
    Need help and info.
I have iR3045 firmware update using assist mode ,untill downloading firmware complete and automatic to restart the device ,the panel became black.
And i find out that the 24v dc dissapear, and need manually off and on the switch to continue downloading firmware untill it complete.
Off and on the device and press 1,7 to go to download to continue downloading DCON and RCON,automatic restart the device again and the panel become black.(24v missing again)
And need manually to restart again, and the loading bar hang....and the machine hang there forever.

Downloading firmware again and using same method and machine can on back again as long as l don't download dcon and rcon. But it show error code e733-001
Change power supply board, controller power supply PCB, all night power supply pcb ,problem persist.
Is the main board or dc board?
    Thank you in advance.

An E733 code will occur on a machine that has the new style DC Controller installed and the DCON is flashed to an earlier version than 22.02.
The new style DC Controller has the DCON flash DIMM embedded into the PCB with version 22.02 installed.

If the DCON was flashed to an earlier version and E733 is displayed, follow the recovery procedure in the attached Technical Publication TP07 028. The recovery procedure is outlined on page three and four.

    Note*
The Flash DIMM for the old style DC Controller will continued to be offered as a service part.

Thank you teckat for your reply.
The problem occur is when i flashing the latest firmware into the ir3045, the copier cannot auto restart and i manaully off on the switch and the copier dislpay hang.
So i flash the ir3025 HDD and fix into the ir3045,the machine continue to start up normal but the error code appear e733.
But i check the dc con version is 05.01
Is the ir3025 and ir3045 HDD are the same?

      -------------

      Sorry, that DC info was for 4570 / 3570 / 2870 / 2270 / 3530 / 2830 / 2230

      printers
      --i removed it----

I believe the DCON ver, for iR3025 & iR3030/3035/3045 are different animals

E733-0001 indicates a communication problem, usually between the DC and Main Controller.
try to disconnect/disable the finisher when doing update !!!!!!!!

Yes,DC con version are different for ir3025 and ir3045
        Already disconnect the finisher.
Almost all the pcb board are replace except the dc board.(only one unit ir3045 at store)
When E733-001 appear is you stand by the machine , after you on back the copier.

Reinstall an earlier Version F/W for the that M/C should be ok.

Hi Peter, this is getting a bit confusing - I think we need to go back to square 1, what was the original reason for updating the FW in the IR3045?
Any PCBs swapped should be swapped back, in case Counter etc PCBs were also swapped - we'll take it from there.

                flash dimm

put everything back in it's original place>
Install firmware again- select to Overwrite All

                note-
There is a ribbon cable which connects the DC Controller and Main Controller together. One of the ends could be loose. This can happen during a DC Controller or Main Controller replacement. This can also happen if one of the cable connector locks is not locked in place properly. The ribbon cable could also be damaged. The DC Controller connector side is at J301 and the Main Controller connector side is at J1029. The cable is very thin and extreme care should be used when reconnecting it to either side of the PCBs.

Up to date the latest firmware version only.
Pbc board swapping are just to confirm , counter and serial number board pcb are remain.

Thanks teckat ,already put back the pcb,i will look into that area.
Can i know why was the machine cannot auto restart back like when you clear the mn con?Which pcb control it?Cause all DC 24v,12v,5v,3v all are present.

The HDD file has been updated to add additional Hard Disk Drives.

When the version of the System Software for the imageRUNNER 3025/ 3030/ 3035/ 3045 models are upgraded, they are upgraded by means of overwriting.
All set values for user mode and service mode are retained. As a result, no items are initialized.
-For the imageRUNNER 3025/ 3030/ 3035/ 3045, due to interface modifications related to changes made with the new features added to the System Software, the following items will not be carried over when upgrading:
-Copy: Mode Memory (Special Features), Recall (Special Features), Standard Settings (Additional Functions>Copy Settings)
-Inbox: Mode Memory (Special Features), Standard Settings (Additional Functions>Mail Box Settings)
-Universal Send: Recall (Favorite Buttons can be carried over by exporting them prior to upgrading and importing after the upgrade – RUI>Add. Func.>Import/Export>Forwarding Settings)
-Log: Status and Log (System Monitor)
-Additional Functions>System Settings>Device Information Delivery Settings>Register Destinations: Destination address list will need to be recreated.
                      -Additional Functions>System Settings>Device Information Delivery Settings>Deliver/Receive
Log: This will be erased and also renamed to “Communication Log”

Have no idea why on that ?

Delete the 3045 firmware in SST> then re-register it.

The FW version you have (providing it IS for an IR3045) should pose no problems with the System, as teckat suggested remove the v31.01 from SST & register it again making sure that all files have a Y in the check boxes and not an N or red type beside the file/s, this could mean the files are corrupt or the folder has not opened to register correctly.
Also replace the memory dimms - just in case.

Ok ,i will do that to remove and re-install the system software.
                            Memory dimms already replace
Could it be possible the original dc con is v06.01 then i accidently downgrade to v05.01 that cause the error code e733-001 to appear?

If you were upgrading MCONT to v31.01 then you cannot be downgrading DCON, suggest you follow the previous posts to eliminate guessing.
