The CCD can fail but usually get thin black lines. I trust you have cleaned it?

Does this machine have an ADF? If so, do copies look the same when fed through the ADF and off the glass?

I would check for loose optical mirrors. Clean the CCD before replacing parts.

Try cleaning dev roller with a soft dry clean cloth.Don't remove it. Dont rub too much. As you rub turn the dev roller gear all the way.You shall feel it getting smooth as you rub. Put it back and i hope that will solve your problem

If I am understanding your problem, you make prints from a PC, the density is fine, making a copy, then you have the light images as seen in your example. If so, the problem has nothing to do with the developer , laser, drum, or the rest of the print engine. The reader unit is where you have the problem. You already cleaned the optics and CIS so clean the white plate and run CCD ADJust under service mode, and the scanner issue should be corrected. If not, replace the CCD. Other longshot things to try----make a copy from the glass and one from the feeder. Compare the 2 and if glass copies look ok then check ADF height. Reader Unit
          - Check the scanner unit (contact sensor, white plate, copyboard glass) for scratches, dirt, and foreign matter.
          - Check the contact sensor unit to see if it moves smoothly and if it is free of dirt.
          - Check to see if the contact sensor is free of flickering.
          - Check to see that the scanner system is free of condensation. You can also adjust the following after cleaning the white plate: COPIER > FUNCTION > DENS
          WHITE-ME
          Automatically correcting the white level

          1<Operating procedure>

          1) Place about 10 or more sheets of standard white paper (the user's usual
          paper) on the document table.
          2) Select <WHITE-ME> to reverse the display. Then press the OK key.
          3) The document lighting lamp scans once and the operation terminates.
