Hi Daniel.canon, lots of Posts on these Units, the Error refers to a load on the Fixing Unit Drive - check for wear on motor drive gears, crank the unit by hand and feel & hear tightness/noise from steel Belt drive gears, check P-PRINT for life of Upper Belt if under 40% maybe contact Canon for warranty as they know from Dealer pressure the problems faced.

First check service modes COPIER/COUNTER/DRBL-1/FX-BLT-U is cleared. Also in Service Level 2 COPIER/OPTION/BODY/FXMSG-SW is set to 0. If both of these are correct, print out P-Print COPIER/FUNCTION/MISC-P/P-PRINT and perform DCON clear COPIER/FUNCTION/CLEAR/DCON. You will have to re-enter most values in COPIER/ADJUST, but this will FIX your E008. Arriba Alianza!

what u do is remove the Fix Unit to inspect /
then throw it in the garbage >
go online and order a refurbish one

I got this on a canon refurb that was 2 months old. Junk. The fuser has over 20 bearing in them and canon does not replace them all when they rebuild them .
