    SST registers firmware as IRXXXX

    Hi all

Last week I downloaded some firmware from the official site

    F1-T01-N14-10042 - iR ADVANCE 4045/4035/4025 Series MN-CONT Ver.21.03/LANG Ver.21.03

When registered in service support tool it shows up as IRXXXX in the version not IR2270 or something that would indicate what machine its for.

I am using SST 4.72ek, the latest I believe.

u did not register it correct in SST/

    after u register > select connect>iA4045 >in menu u should see SINGLE

in left menu under register> u should all iA4045 Firmware that u registered ?

    I would re-register if u don't

While being a Toshiba dealer, we also deal with canon machines. I must say the SST is quite a bad example of how something simple can be turned into something complicated.

In regards to using 'Single' mode, I was always told that 'Single' mode is used for when you need to upgrade the whole system in one go when replacing certain boards as opposed to 'Assist' mode where you need to register each component but its apparently the safer way to perform the upgrade.

We don't have access to NAVI (A program used by Canon Reps), but i believe it can also be done via NAVI using SST in the background.

As for your original issue, Check that the firmware is registered correctly as per teckat.

Don't waste your time with Navi.....rather useless program in my opinion. Agree with Aethanite ,Just follow Teckat's instructions, register it correctly, and you should be ok.(And I know a ton of Canon tech's....have yet to see one using Navi)
