[Misc] Canin irc6870 upper fusing roller & lower fusing roller coating peeling off????

    hI,
Hello everybody, i have a Canon IRC6870 who has a frequent problem with its UPPER FUSING ROLLER & LOWER FUSING ROLLER, IT IS the 4th time now with the span of 9 months that i've replaced the said parts. i think it copied only less than every 5 thousand copies when the red rubber coating on the upper & lower roller peeled off from its aluminum housing. I dont know the causes for these one, maybe its because of the temperature, or the tension between the 2 roller.
    Please help.

    Cesar

The pressure between the rollers is much too high, causing this symptom. Have a look at the screws which holds the pressure springs, nearby there is a hole with an M4 thread, where the shipping secure screws were installed. Take two screws and insert them into the holes, then tighten them slowly while looking from the side at the fuser rollers. The correct pressure is arrived when the pressure spot of the silicone layer has approx 6-5 mm (hope, you understand what i mean, english is not my home language). The Fuser rollers are now good for 120K Copies and more, with no fusing problems while using normal grammatures like 80g/sqm

    Did the trick for me
