[Misc] Canon Irc ADV 2020 L, codes error E227/E014, Why!!

I have a machine that intermittently after 3 or 4 days the machine is locked and I get the message:
Error closing front door and warn scanning technical service

if you look at service mode it emits the following error codes often
E 227 and E 014

the DC CON you have installed is 40.03

why this happens?

The error code E227 relates to a 24V Power supply error, and the E014-0001error codes relates to a Fixing motor startup error. Turning off and back on would not reset the message; the machine needed to be unplugged for a few minuets to reset.
The DC controller and the AC driver PCB's were replaced, but the error codes and message came back


This issue should be resolved by changing Power Save mode in Setting / Registration > Preferences > Timer / Energy Settings > Sleep Mode Energy Use > from Low to High.

E227-0001 indicated at power on.

After cycling power, the message "Close the front cover" and "Check the scanner" was indicated.

E227-0001: The reader unit power supply (24V) is faulty. At time of power-on, the 24V port is off.


Check if on the AC Driver PCB J116 pin 1 measures only 1.4v ? It should have been 24v. If not>>>>>>>>

Try re-seating J116 connector on the AC Driver PCB > the 24v should be back on J116 pin 1.

Yes replace the lvps. Canon has a bulletin about this exact problem. Make sure new lvps has a blue circular label on it..this is the improved one

I have the same problem on a c2225. Can someone post the bulletin regarding problems with the lvps ? Canon CA does not have any bulletin on the service website regarding this issue.

Troubleshoot your POWER to and from Printer / + check those door switches

E227 0001 05 = The reader unit power supply (24V) is faulty.
Description = At time of power-on, the 24V port is off.
Remedy
1.Disconnect and then connect the power supply harness
connector.
2.Replace the Power Supply PCB(UN1).


E014 0001 05 = Title Fixing Motor start-up error
Description = Within a specified period of time from the start-up, the speed fails to be OK.
Remedy= Possible cause is overload or rotation failure of the motor due to an electrical trouble
1. Check if the Fixing Assembly is installed properly.
2. Remove and reinstall the Fixing Assembly
3. Check the gear
4. Replace the Fixing Assembly
5. Check the harness/connector between the DC Controller
PCB (UN09/ J210) and the Fixing Motor (M17).
6. Check conduction of FU1153 in the AC Driver PCB (UN14)
=>Replace the AC Driver when the fuse is blown out
7. Replace the Fixing Motor (M17)
8. Replace the DC Controller PCB (UN09)

Thanks everybody for providing the necessary info for me. My problem turned out to be a faulty Low Voltage Power Supply.

Interestingly enough, Yesterday we had another one (c2225) with the same problem. Just thought this would be helpful to everybody else out there.
