    IRC2230 Mac Printing Issue

Customer has a Mac 10.5.8 PPC and all attempts to download a UFRII driver and install have failed. Below is the error message:

"cannot install UFRII/UFRII LT printer driver on your computer with this processor." check the operating environment.

    Drivers we've tried:

    C2230
UFRII_v10.1.0_Mac.zip "cannot install UFRII/UFRII LT printer driver on your computer with this processor." check the operating environment.
PPD_V3.50_Mac.zip the ppd failed...installed, but getting " PDL IMG Invalid data" at printer when I send a job.

C2030 to try an older driver:
UFRII_v2.43_Mac.zip "cannot install UFRII/UFRII LT printer driver on your computer with this processor." check the operating environment.
UFRII_v2.41_Mac.zip "cannot install UFRII/UFRII LT printer driver on your computer with this processor." check the operating environment.

Still no luck. Anyone else run into this?

    A couple things.

The PPD file that supports 10.3 to 10.8.x needs the PS kit on the printer. Does yours have it?

The other drivers you tried are for intel Mac's , hence the processor error.

I had a very quick look on my phone, Canon Oz has a 10.5 PPC driver for the IRAC2030 UFRII.

UFR II Printer Driver Ver.2.35 for Mac OS X 10.4 [Intel/PPC] /10.5 [PPC]

    Yes, I am a nerd.
Gaming PC - check. Raspberry Pi - Check. Custom ROM on phone - check. Thick glasses - check.

Service manager is on site now to try out the UFRII driver. He'll also try the PPD one again. I sent over the license key for the PS kit but unsure if the tech remembered to put it in or not . Service manager said he'd check. Much appreciate the help.
