    IR5070 control panel replacement

    I need to replace control panel ass'y. on IR5070. Had it UPS'd from HYTEC on exchange basis. How fast is that? Just obvious screws above toner? Do I need svc. mnl? I do Kon-Min 90% and some Kyocera but Canons... just NP series years ago.

      remove toner bottle
      remove finisher
      remove right and left upper panels
      remove front panel which holds the copyboard glass in.
      the control panel is held in by 2 screws on the right, 1 on the left and 2 between the narrow opening from the glass.
      Unplug the connector and disassemble control panel

          Thanks Vigour. Went smooth as butter. Customer has another related model with same symptoms. Anybody know if it's easy enough to get the touch screen glass and do the panel repair in-house instead of send out to Orlando? Done many Konica Minoltas, but never a Canon.
