    iR3570/4570 Fax printing

We have a ir3570/4570 with these problem. For copying and printing the quality is clear and good but when you receive a fax or you transmit fax out the print quality are poor. The result of the copy is with very dark black blackground.

What would be the problem ? Any adjustment to solve these problem?

If you do not want to phenomenon occurs in standard resolution occurs in fine, there are cases (surface roughness) of transmission original paper quality was caused by. Please try to send a test chart. In the [1] FAX> SpecialB> the Sw03 bit0 if also occur in the test chart JBIG = ban please try to (change after power OFF / ON required).

Hi Osamu Takahashi sorry I don't get you. Where is the adjustment you want me to change. Is it in the service mode > fax ?

Does this occur with ALL incoming Faxes? or just from the same location? If Copies & Prints are ok I would 1st be suspecting the remote.

Is occur with all incoming Faxes. If you try to fax out to the other end the customer who receive it will tell you your copy is dark blackground. Could it be the FAX modem unit problem?

Still didn't answer the question, are copies good? Trying to establish that everything is ok at your end - if copies are good we can eliminate the Scanner, in my 30 years of dealing with repairs to Fax machines since G2 - the Fax Unit TX/RX faults are extremely rare - the problems can usually be tracked from the Sending Unit to Connections - Cables - Addons - Line condition - Exchange - and then the reverse back to the Receiver Unit.

Apologies for my previous POST I didn't see this bit "For copying and printing the quality is clear and good" - but the rest still stands.
