someone try to change it to 5065 or 5075 thats y this error come up. Try installing latest firmware

Sry, I don't understand "someone try to change it to 5065 or 5075" what does that mean? I am heading there to try and upgrade the firmware, and system software

Went thru the System software, firmware installation..even did ALL the HDD format Still ended up with the same code.
Anybody seen this problem?

Bootrom, DRAM and Hard Disk Drive have all been reseated on the Main Controller PCB.

Bootrom, DRAM and Hard Disk Drive have all been reseated on the Main Controller PCB.

No the original issue was a finisher, hole punch error. Machine was still running with the "Limited Function" on.
After checking and resetting the code the E0748-4031 came up and the machine would no longer boot up.
Just a screen with a the boot bar comes up nothing more, errors out.
I re-installed the SYSTEM SOFTWARE, FORMATED THE HDD. LOADED EVERYTHING. no help,,,,,, Dead

I personally would never do a SST Format on an HDD that had a working System Software installed---it usually makes things worse (learned my lesson way back) - I would only Format a partition on it (service mode) for a communication issue-

Try pulling the transport drawer out,open the side doors,pull out process unit(unplug everything that plugs into it). I had one of these that the transfer/sep assembly was causing it. I know the manual says something about model mismatch or something, but if stuff is shorting or whatever,machine goes brain dead

I totally agree. If you format the HDD of a working 3245,you wipe the bios(kind of a secondary operating system) from the hdd and it won't boot. Put in a new HDD to make it work. Like Teckat said,be careful

OK -got a new preloaded hard drive for the iR5055. The machine comes to ready after like 20 mins in wait time.
It Makes copies, some fast, some slow.
Could this be Memory issues?
