    Ir2025i

I picked up 1 of these from a wholesaler today but under the send tab there is no option for email or file only fax. It is an i series so it must have been turned off? Any ideas?

        Re: Ir2025i

        Heres what I get:

        ACTIBAT FUNCTION_ _ _ _ _OFF
        BDL-IMAGE (1200)_ _ _ _ _ON
        FAX_ _ _ _ __ _ _ _ _ON
        NETWORK_ _ _ _ _ON
        PCL_ _ _ _ _OFF
        PC-SCAN_ _ _ _ _OFF
        BW-SEND_ _ _ _ _OFF
        CL-SEND_ _ _ _ _OFF
        PAF_ _ _ _ _OFF
        BDL-IMAGE (600)_ _ _ _ _ON
        E-RDS_ _ _ _ _OFF

THIS IS AN "I"SERIES SO I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY SCAN WOULD BE OFF.

maybe possible that the license got deactivated or something? It has the send tab and looks normal but when you press "new address", it only has fax option.........

I know very little about that machine but on the earlier ir's there was an option in sm to have tabs on or off. Maybe contact Paul at justmanuals. I would think the info would be in service manual. Teckat's on the beach drinking beer right now otherwise he probably would have chimed in.

Thanks for the reply. I have the manuals but can't locate anywhere to bring the scan to email back. I will keep searching.

                  Hello,

I don't know if this will help but a similar thread was on here with the same problem but it was an iR1020 series machine.

Teckat gave a very good reply that may have possibilities for your problem.

Thanks for the info! That does seem like the same problem I am having. Just for giggles, i pulled the usb drive on a working machine and it gave the same symptom as this machine.... So i then swapped the drives but the problem remained.... In other words swapping the drive did nothing for me.

From what I can see the drive is machine specific i.e. tied to the serial number, but I am glad that by pulling the drive you manged to recreate the prob as that means you are half way to getting it working again

I took out the drive and tried in another machine and it worked in that machine fine. So maybe it works with a certain version and I lucked out.

Figuring may just have to update the firmware. Guess I need to locate some system software for this and make sure my sat is compatible. This will be my first flash on this series.

your best bet is to update it, in irXXXXi machines the send is always active as a predefinition, fax is optional but the send is always included, if you need help with the firmware PM me and i can get it for you, you'll need updated SST also and a "cross over" network cable to avoid connecting through a hub/switch, it's pretty much straithforward

My sst is 4.3. Think the 2025i manual calls for 3.21 or later. So it should be fine. I have pm'd you!
