ImagePress C7000VP foggy edges and line one inch in on leading edge.

I was wondering if anyone has a pdf document on image fogging for the front and rear on image quality issues. I also have a lead edge issue about 1 inch in all across the image all colors where it has kind of a line smudge like the paper is slipping.

Could both of these issues be related to a secondary transfer drive AY, the gears are pretty worn on that area. if it had a little slop right when it transfers to the paper ? This issue is on all four colors so I don't think it would be developer stations or drums, I have replaced the inner transfer rolls all 4 on top and the one on the left internal transfer roll Ay. also new starter, ITB and grids, wires, and primary charger wire.

Are they using pre-cut media or cutting their own? I have had cases where media is not cut to length properly(2 or 3 mm too long) and the registration motor and rolls is still holding the trail edge of media when it starts secondary transfer. It causes the media to stall for an instant(reg roll holds paper better than secondary transfer roll moves it.) Just something to check for your smeared line issue. Seen this many times on 7000 and 9000 series....printers buy the cheapest media that they can.

this is all nice straight out of the box stuff, no cutting. I was wondering about the registration drive timing adjustment?
