[Jamming] Jamming in booklet finisher's n1 internal 2/4 hole punch unit entrance guide

I have IRADV8205 /serial no:KZV00736 attached to Booklet finisher N1 with it's internal 2/4 holes Punch unit which jams at the punch entrance guide. The paper stops and buckles at punch entry with jam code 1121. This only happens when customer is doing punch jobs. In this case also customer used yellow 160gsm paper for covers for 15 plain 80 gsm sheets. 3 or 4 sets could come out ok and the next sheet buckles in punch unit. MFD works ok if punch function is not used. Please assist if any known resolution to the above problem. MFD is also fairly new, done only 151K copies. Thanks.

Here is the jam chart from the manual - I just took the course.

When we were on the course we had some issues with the machine being properly levelled.

      Found this - might help.

      Symptom
The External Puncher will not punch colored paper. Sometimes it will also give jam codes of 1121 and 1122. Another symptom that was noticed is that sometimes when it will punch the colored paper, the punches will be "deep punches" far from the lead edge more than an inch at times. Puncher driver adjustments were performed, such as the sensor output adjustment and the registering of punch holes. Another test that was performed was regular white 80gsm paper was interleaved with colored paper. The puncher would skip the punch on the colored paper every time, but would punch the white 80gsm paper. The punch module was also replaced but did not provide a solution.

      Action
The solution to this issue involved replacing LED sensors. These are also the sensors that were being calibrated with the sensor output adjustment that was previously performed several times and ended normally each time. The solution to this odd punching issue was to replace both LED transmit/receive LED pcbs and run the sensor output adjustment again in the Service Manual. The part numbers to these pcbs are, FM2-1441-000 1 PHOTO SENSOR UNIT, 4G3-2760-000 LED UNIT.

Thanks for your input but the punch unit in this case is an internal one. We replaced the punch unit but noticed now that it could do 4 holes punch without any jam but 2 holes punch jams declaring 1121 jam code as mentioned in the original post. Any more help please.

          sounds like a firmware issue.
Do you have the latest firmware on both pieces of equipment.

I would edit the post and remove the serial number. Lots of fun stuff can be done with that.
