it will make 1 copy and then goes to black screen. Turn the machine off and on it screen comes back, and does the same thing. it has a fiery unit on it we have disconnected the fiery try to make copy same result. Try to print and it communicates and spools but then acts like it is going to print by the finishing unit going up and down and then error light flashes goes to black screen with no error code

this memory clean usually solves this
power off/unplug printer
remove back cover of printer/ remove memory> clean ends> re-seat
put back cover>power up


also check for a possible faulty connection between the Ethernet board and the Main Controller.


have also see a bad/faulty Fuse Pcb cause this issue (Fuse pcb in this model causes headaches)


Main Controller PCB has an LED101 which is ON during normal operation. When you experience a blank LCD screen, inspect the Main Controller PCB LED101, if the LED is OFF, then check or replace the SRAM PCB (FG3-3669-000) which is mounted on the Sub Main Controller PCB.

Have you replaced the power supply, i have had a couple of these that just go dead during copying.

If the Error Light flashes there MUST be a Code - before attempting to copy/print enter SRV Mode and check for recent Errors and POST the result.

Like already said,clean the memory contacts. Also pull the sub boards from the main cage and do the same. I've had duplex driver board and motor eat fuses on fuse pcb. Did you re-install firmware? If not start there and clean the boards up. Hopefully its logging an error
