How do I enable scan to email on an imagerunner c3170i? I can access the web page and I can enter some of the smtp information. Does this model have scan enabled out of the box or is it an add on feature that needs to be purchased and activated?

scanning on IRC 3380i

You have to SEND option enabled if you want to run scanning via email. Otherwise this option dosn't work. Check you're SMTP and e-mail adress is property entered, and that's any firewall dosn't block the reqest on any used port's.

all IRXXXXi/IF or IRCXXXXi/IF have out of the box send capabilities enabled, you just need to configure it or in some cases if someone messed around service mode to re-enable it there, you probably only need to configure it, config and connect it to a network and do the configs by browser, it's much easier
