IR C3220 - Yellow color does not print - missing color

Please help,

IR C3220 my printer does not print yellow color.
i have relatively new drum, when this started happening i replaced the toner as well still did not help.
however when i take the toner and the drum out and shake them up a little it does print yellow for a while and then goes back to erratic yellow and than non of it.

Please advise

Yellow "dropping out" on copies and prints.

1-check the yellow developer drive motor/ check the wire harness on the developer drive assembly

2-may be caused by a defective DC Controller.
You can confirm the yellow developer assembly is not driving by putting a drop of white out on the Developer coupling. The developer coupling is located on the rear of the drum unit. Remove the drum unit and mark the developer coupling. Make a copy and see if the coupling has moved. If the coupling has not moved it is due to the DC Controller not giving the drive command.
Replace the DC Controller to resolve ?

Are you using genuine OEM drums & toner? if not most likely that is your issue.
