Canon imageCLASS MF7280 - Network Scanning

I'm trying to implement Network Scanning on this unit but don't have the service manual to do it. Can someone give be some basic direction on how it's added to this machine!

usually everything on a Canon MFP is setup through the RUI. Once you have assigned an IP address to the device and added it to the network you can point a web browser at the device. So if you device IP address is 192.168.1.100 open up internet explorer and type in the address 192.168.1.100 and this will open the web interface of the machine. Then you can browse to the address book after logging in as a system manager and setup the destinations you wish to scan to.
NOTE:- if you are scanning to an e-mail address you will also need to specify the SMTP server in the mail setup in additional functions.

you won't need the service manual, for that you can use regular user manual and follow Iommanxman advice
