Very possible it is not standard in UK machines. When you hit counter check, device configuration should say UFRII. THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST STEP. I would flog a tech if he can't get something to print and didn't even check to see if the option is installed. Hopefully thats all that the problem is. Why not fix the RIP? Probably cheaper to fix than the cost of UFR kit. What does the RIP do? I service RIPs all the time. Usually either hdd, fan, software, poor contacts inside or dust bunnies

      Hello

Spot on the RIP has died, it powers on, you can go into the configuration, press network and it specifies not configured, it says continue to boot, but eventually the copier just says the printer is turned off?

I have to be honest I am getting there with copiers, but do not have much experience fixing J1 / RIP's / Fierys

I have taken the lid off, cleaned it, checked the fans are functioning, reseated the RAM / HDD all logical things you would expect.

I do appreciate your help, as per Karma I have answered a few queries I have dealt with in the past

      Thanks
