Canon LC 730i - scanning problems

Have a 730i that when scanning to a folder it will sometimes quits and it is like the power when off. Display flickers, and resets and then it says check document because it stopped with a piece of paper in it. Gives no error code. But it only does this when scanning to a network folder, fax works fine, printing works fine.
Already replaced SCNT board assy and the Power supply unit. Did not help.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

how about the power cord and the wall source voltage. Is there a problem with the outlet. wiggle the cord and see. Check ground to neutral on source outlet as well. This is for starters, then we can move on to other checks.

What if you just scan to copy? Still crash? What if you lower scanning resolution? If you can print to it fine, fax from it fine..maybe memory issue. Scan a blank sheet at a lower resolution. Scanning as a JPEG,TIFF..?

Would it be practical for you to perform an all clear in service mode?

(Not all the individual clears, but the specific "all clear" function.)

That will reset absolutely everything, but I've seen it fix some mighty weird problems over the years.

ALL CLEAR clears the user settings pertaining to the G3 fax. This is a sending issue..no handshaking and stuff(other than done with NETWORK protocol). Doing an MMI clear will clear user settings on the Main Controller side...print all user settings before doing it or import everything from the machine thru the RUI first...i hate doing mass clears. You could also try a ram clear
