    Canon CLC 2620 not responsive

    Hi all,

We've just bought a Canon CLC2620 from auction for our business. Turned it on, it boots ok, gets to the usual screen but it's sat saying "Printer Warming Up". It's completely unresponsive. Nothing on the screen responds and the physical buttons do nothing either. Considering this unit has come from auction, I'd like to factory reset it anyway so am just wondering if there's some kind of manual hard reset that can be done?
    Thanks in advance.

Yes most likely a faulty drum or toner. Leave the machine on showng warming up walk away & leave it, machine will eventually throw an error code, come back here & let us know what code it thows.

No error code, everything is as you would normally expect except when it says "printer warming up" it just freezes there. Nothing is responsive.
If it was a faulty drum unit, wouldn't I get some kind of message about it?

Can you hear the machine running? if so leave it on it should eventually show an error code.

How long should I leave it? I had it on in that state for a good couple of hours and the most it did was go into standby. When I woke it up it just resumed its frozen state of warming up.

If you've left it on for a few hours & no error it may not be the drum or toners.

Is the control panel locked up, do any buttons work? can you enter service mode?

Most likely it will be the drums.

                    Best answer..

                    Call for service.

Dear all, I have very same stuation with the same model. It boots up, during warming up stage touch panel is working about 6 seconds only. then it freezes completely. I removed all toner cardridges and drums it is same behavior. I tried 3 different set of ram modules, no change. Any suggestions will be approciated. Is the bootrom copier specific?
Please Gavstead can you update your latest findings? thank you all..
