Canon Ir3570 finisher does not go up or down

I have an Ir3570 with a finisher that does not go up or down. Is there a setting in service mode that shuts this on or off.

Internal or external? Limited functions to get it going but guarantee it logged an error code....post it

Does the display say "ready to copy (limited functions)" If so you can try to reset in common settings. Turn limited functions off. You may get an error code. That's probably how it started

Silly question but is this sorter new to this copier or had it been working before? Though in saying that, it would also be silly not to mention that bit of information.
